My first day walking around Florence will definitely be memorable.
Who manages to get lost and be over an hour late to orientation because she walked around the entire city center when all she had to do was walk 10 minutes down her street? Oh, me.
I swear I can make it as a tour guide. I unintentionally gave myself a walking tour. Let me know if you're ever interested in getting lost in Florence, seriously.

I have never been so happy to have gotten lost on my way to school.
The Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and crazy cars and vespas on the street kept me entertained enough as I wandered trying to find the main building on my campus that is the city of Florence.
I made it to orientation. No worries.
Only like a billion hours later, and I missed pretty much everything.
After that escapade, I finally figured out how to get home and on my way home, I found this lovely little piece of food heaven.
One thing I love about Florence? The amazing greetings you get entering into a shop or food store. Especially, at Pino's Sandwiches.
My friend and I had no idea how and what to order and stood there totally staring at the menu and delicious paninis being made and taken of the grill.
We were called "Ragazze" (girls) and finally figured out that we could order in English.
I had a good attempt at trying in Italian.
All I have to do is say "Vorrei" and basically point to a delicious item. My go-to phrase!
I had a delicious eggplant panini from this cute sandwich shop owned by a very sweet man named Pino.
If you are ever in Florence, you must pass by and enjoy a lunch for under 4 euros!
After having a very long day and still recovering from jet lag (apparently 20 to 30 minute naps help get you over this), I relaxed for the rest of my Saturday and then prepared for my first night out on the town with my girlfriends.
Summary of our night?
The Red Garter. Karaoke. A kid claiming to be Harry Styles. Italians singing Bon Jovi. Tequila Sunrises. Finding the Secret Bakery full of Nutella croissants at 2am.
Oh, what a night.
After a great night out and a little too much fun, it was time to head to some sightseeing the following day and hiking up the Piazzale Michelangelo.
This is the best workout ever after consuming unhealthy and guiltless amounts of pasta and wine.
And, I rewarded myself with some gelato. It cancels each other out right?...
I had an amazing first weekend here in Florence and have so much more to share!
Until then, arriverdla my loves!
