I'd like to dedicate this post to my amazing, beautiful, and crazy best friend Francina and to all the amazing girls who are always there when I most need them.
In this world, we are truly blessed with amazing people in our lives and most certainly the ones we call our best friends.
Maybe you are adventurous, caring, and crazy Serena and she is ambitious, aggressive, and feisty Blair (depending on who wants to keep Chuck Bass...).
She's the person you call on a bad day. You tell her about what's going on. Maybe it's a boy. Maybe it's your family. Maybe it's school. Maybe everything is just pissing you off that day.
Sometimes you feel like a broken record; yet, she continues to listen to it.
She listens to you cry and tries to help you mend a broken heart. She comes over with chocolate and anything that would make Jillian Michaels cringe. You have a romance movie marathon and cry either from laughter or at Ryan Gosling's plea for Allie to love him in The Notebook. You have nicknames and inside jokes that no one understands. You are never afraid to say anything because no filter is the only filter you need around her.
She stays on the phone with you late at night to talk about anything and everything.
Maybe it's just like Carrie Bradshaw surmises,
"Maybe girlfriends are our soul mates and guys are just people to have fun with".
They support you, love you, and tell you the stone cold truth when you need to hear it. They aren't afraid to tell you to put your big girl panties on or to let you know that those shoes do not go with that dress. They are your biggest supporters and of course #1 accomplices.
In honor of Girlfriend's Day, I had the grand idea to take that day as a date night:
A date night for none other than my best friend and I.
I love a good GNO and honestly recommend you make them happen as often as possible.

Maybe it's going to the movies, grabbing dinner, stuffing your face with desserts, walking down the city streets at night, visiting a museum, driving around the city and blasting Lady Antebellum until your ears bleed, window shopping at Chanel, or taking outfit pics on the Upper West Side.
Whatever it is, make it fun, memorable, and totally fab!
