If you're like me, you fell in love with a man dedicated to public service...and one that wears a uniform to show for it.

I'm not only an Army girlfriend but also the girlfriend of a firefighter. Yes, I got two in one 😉

I think as a woman dating a man in uniform whether it be a soldier or even a firefighter (or both), there are some things we can all relate to....

And yes, I went there.

1. When he accomplishes training, an academy, or wins an award, you are his biggest cheerleader.

2. You steal his work sweatshirts, sweatpants, and/or anything that screams "Take it, he won't miss it" and sport it like you're in the Army or fighting fires for a living. 

3. Any time he's heading to work, sometimes the back of your mind likes to remind you of all the horrible things that could happen to him while he's away...(less dramatic visuals but you get my drift)

4. When you're walking out in public and see other people stare and you're like: Yes, that's mine. 

5. When he gets home from work and has his uniform on you can't help but just....

6. When someone who tries to complain about not being able to see their S.O. for a couple of days and you are used to going weeks/months without seeing them 

7. When you didn't know their could be so many acronyms you have to keep up with when he's talking to you 

10.  And when he finally comes home, you can't get enough of him
