Happy Sunday!
I swear, the weekend goes by way too fast. I'd like to petition for 5 day weekends and 2 day work days. Who's with me?!
I'm currently watching The Lizzie McGuire movie and totally having Italy nostalgia. I can't wait to go back.
Back to the purpose of this post -- my evening routine. Do you have a daily evening ritual? I'm like an old lady with two many creams and things to do before bed to count. Except I was able to do that in this post. Woo.
Unless I've had a reallly long day, this is my normal go-to. If not, I literally pass out and forgo the whole thing and fall asleep because sleep > everything.
1. Plan for the next day (or think I planned and fill things in as the day goes along...I'm trying to do better guys). I also like to jot down any dreams, goals, blog ideas, and so forth in my journal.
I just recently got a new planner -- my Lily Pulitzer was awesome BUT I would much rather save the $40 on something much more practical.
You can snag it here!
2. What I do when I've had a long day? Make it lit (I had to).
No but really, lighting a candle just calms my soul apart from praying to God. Bath and Body Works...never stop what you're doing pls. This one smells sooo good and they currently have a sale going so give it a whirl!
3. After a shower and take off any remnants of my makeup, I smother my face with a night cream, acne repeller, and eye cream.
I have Halle Barry and J.Lo aging goals so I've got to start somewhere. These Kiehl's products are just *dramatic ugh* AMAZING. I shall get into them during my monthly faves but you have to give them a try. My face feels so supple after applying these products.
I'm sure as I age, my routine will shift tremendously but I keep it pretty simple. The only other thing I honestly do is brush my hair or smother it in leave-in conditioner if it's staying curly. My hair has a mind of its own and needs to controlled.
When it comes to winding down at night after a long day, I always just put on a movie or catch up on my favorite YouTube humans. I always have Christmas lights hanging in my room and totally adds to the relaxing vibes. Other than that, I'm just excited to go to sleep and wake up the next day as fresh and energized as possible!
What's your evening routine like? Share below!
xoxo,
