Hello Darlings,
I have been quite MIA on one of my favorite places in the entire world and that is being on here. To say that pre-grad stress is a real thing is an understatement. Since I've returned from Europe, it's like life has come at me full force and is coming faster than I can actually react to it. I like to talk to you guys about the happenings in my life and this is for sure what is running through my head lately.
So, what is pre-grad stress?
All the questions, feelings, and thoughts that circulate in your head all before the time you are handed a diploma and scooted out from college and thrown into the big old world.
What do you want to do after college?
What do you like to do?
What do you see yourself doing as a career?
What jobs are you applying to?
Where do you wanna live?
Do you want to move out or live with your parents?
What about grad school? Do you want to wait or go straight to grad school?
How am I going to pay for loans without a job already?
How long will it take for me to get a job?
WHAT ON EARTH AM I QUALIFIED FOR?
All of these questions are constantly going through my head and I'm sure other seniors in college could attest to these! How do you not go insane thinking about all of this?
Positive thoughts, getting ahead, and managing stress.
All of this is easier said then done.
Find your interests. Make lists of potential jobs. Read job descriptions. Look at potential grad schools. Start studying for the GRE.
The earlier you start, the less stressed you will be.
What to do when you're stressed out?
Work out! It's scientifically proven working out lifts your mood and you'll feel amazing after.
Read, go on Pinterest, or listen to music! Spend some time doing what you love. I am guilty on spending hours on Pinterest when I'm in a bad mood or need some me time. You work on that Wedding board ;)
Do your nails or get them done! I can't tell you how amazing it feels to just take time to feel your best and getting my nails done is one of them.
Talk to someone! It is great to hear from other people that everything will be okay and also reassure you that you are an amazing person and that this isn't the end all be all.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel and we totally got this!
Life is going to change and all for the better.
Have any tips or thoughts on life after college? Leave them below!
xoxo,
