It's Wanderlust: Channeling Martha Stewart, Partying Venetian Style, and Obsessing Over Gondolas

I finally made it to my first full week in Florence!
Yay, omg, I survived.
Let me tell you, it wasn't easy.
The wifi struggle. My SIM card not working in my phone. My bank card getting completely compromised. Heat only 8 hours a day and mostly when I'm out and about. No dryers. Walking everywhere. No more home cooked meals unless I cook them.
I think I've lost 5 pounds already.

Thankfully, I've had some marvelous experiences to make up for my struggles.
I booked a trip with my friends to Venice through Bus2Alps and had a blast!
We went during Venice Carnevale and it was definitely quite the experience.
People dressed up and partying like its Mardi Gras except this is Italy and they wear Venetian masques and scare the crap out of you in their full blown costumes.

Venice was absolutely stunning and pictures do not do it justice.

I made sure to stop by on my way out of Venice at this shop. Heaven in my mouth.

The closest I think I'll get to New York is seeing this guy dressed up and not giving a hoot.
So New York.

Michele, our gondola man. So cute.

A breathtaking view of a Venetian sunset in our gondola.

What have I been eating in Florence? Well, here's a peek of one of my concoctions.
Oh, and wine of course <3

Up next: Pizza a la Julia Roberts, more OOTD, hiking, and gearing up for Spring Break?
Stay tuned.

Make sure to follow me on Insta to see all of my Florentine shenanigans and more OOTDs!

 Ciao,
