As a young woman, it's quite common to have an active dating life. Right?
Ok, maybe not.
Ok, maybe not.
If so, I'm far from that group. More like on an island. An isolated one. Like completely uninhabited.
So, let's talk about dating. Have you been on dates? Dated multiple people? What is dating to you?
I find the whole concept of it quite interesting.
It's like, "Hi, I kinda like you so let's see if this turns into something after a couple of hours of talking and hopefully fun and not boring conversation and not me running into the bathroom and escaping".
When you really think about it, dates are kinda of like interviews.
For that person you want to be with.
I can't see myself taking time out to be entertained by someone who I frankly don't see any potential in.
Like why?
Dating is a very common thing nowadays and I definitely see how exciting it can be.
Meet new people. Try new things. Have fun!
But to me, you are searching for the right "date".
The one who then ends up next to you on your Save The Dates.
For right now, I'd like to say I am definitely dating.
This person is quite marvelous and makes time for me even with a busy schedule.
Want to know who it is?
Me, myself, and I.
I think focusing and making yourself a priority will do you good.
For now, I'd say I am working on my relationship with myself until a guy who sweeps me off my feet comes along.
I'll be on a plane in a couple of months and totally ready to be whisked away by my soon to be lovers: Tuscany, Paris, pasta, and wine.
As they always say, the right guy will come along when you aren't looking for him and when you are ready.
If you are single like me, make the best of it. In the end, you always have yourself.
Treat yourself to some shopping, traveling, spending time with your friends, and just enjoying your singleness.
xoxo,
